Mitsubishi: SE trim added for 2008 Eclipse

blogicon_4g_eclipse.jpgWe are always excited when manufacturers make updates to the cars that we love so much. The 2008 Mitsubishi Eclipse gets some new body modifications, standard enhanced interior options, but nothing under the hood. This updated trim level "SE" will be added to both 4 cylinder and 6 cylinder models.

The 2008 Eclipse SE now comes with a sleek Evo style wing, new front chin spoiler, “SE” graphic down the side skirt, and now a aluminum fuel door standard. Continue reading “Mitsubishi: SE trim added for 2008 Eclipse”

Myth: Adding more fuel to a N/A car makes mad powah!

Manipulating your fuel system by adding parts which increase fuel volumes into the engine is not a good thing to do unless you put on some sort of forced induction to compensate.

I have had customers over time purchase bigger injectors or ask for help installing fuel systems into their N/A near bone stock street cars. If you have a stock running naturally aspirated vehicle, manipulating your fuel system by adding parts which increase fuel volumes into the engine is not a good thing to do unless you put on some sort of forced induction to compensate. New Tearstone Blog!

This website goes through a lot of changes in the background that most visitors or customers may not notice, but this change is one of the most important to date. I want to introduce the Tearstone Performance blog.

Website Updates

As you may have already noticed the website has undergone a major face lift and is also now compliant with a 1024 pixel width resolution to fit more information onto the screen.

We have also reorganized all the catagories to become more scalable as we venture into newer platforms to support. Main catagories have been broken down by generic part location on the car (engine, drivetrain, suspension etc) and inside those they may be broken down by manufaturer or by part.

Added products and support for the 1997~2004 Mitsubishi Diamante
6G74 3.5L. Not only does the Eclipse/Galant/Stratus share many parts
with this vehicle but the engine also swaps right into the Eclipse. 6G74 forged 94mm (1mm overbore from 93mm stock)
pistons pricing is now listed and available. We believe that the demand
will become popular once the 3.5L swaps get off the ground for Eclipse
owners but each set for now is built to order and will take 3 weeks to
ship. As one of the premier USA RPW dealers we are leverging their
product line for support with Diamante and 3.5L swap owners alike.
