4g64 stratus!!!! - 2007/10/13 12:15 Hey everyone, i was wondering if there are any clubs out there for dodge stratus 2.4l 4cyl 4g64 owners.......i see all kinds of clubs for eclipse and stratus v6 but cant seem to find any for 4cyl owners. I got onto a didge forum but most of them own v6 and they are dicks when they find out you got a 4cyl.......also if anyone knows if there is a turbo kit for this engine and if there is can i fit it in my stratus.........also, i would like to know which is better.....building this motor or swapping to a v6 THEN building the motor, i hear mixed responses.........i here this motor has alot of possibilities but im also starting at 150hp at the flywheel and this car weighs 3064 curb weight, kind of slow and heavy........i know weight reduction will help but thats not all ill need. im out here competing with hondas that only weight about 3lbs....lol.....ill never but honda cause those cars are too common, i love the way my stratus looks and id love to keep it and fix it up to blow those common ass rice burners away..........any help is greatly appreciated.........thanks.

The Club3G.com or Regional Mitsubishi Owners Association sites we run all welcome Dodge Stratus coupes with open arms. You have an Eclipse with a Dodge badge on it.

Re:4g64 stratus!!!! - 2007/10/15 02:06 AWESOME!!!!! thanks man......i knew i had an eclipse with a dodge badge but wasnt sure how the eclipse owners felt about that......ill run out and join 3g right away..........would they or you be able to tell me about turbo for this car and i messaged about a boog that you put up for the 6g72 motor asking about the same info for the 4g64 motor and you said youd get a write up about it, was just wondering if that was still possible?? i read another blog about turbo kits you have that were renamed and tried clicking on the new names you had and nothing happened, i wanted to get more info on those turbos. thanks for all your help.

Re:4g64 stratus!!!! - 2007/10/15 09:42 We no longer offer turbo kits for the 4G64 and probably never will, they didn't really sell all that well or they won't sell for the price point we would attempt to establish if we made them available again. There are lots of home grown options out there using Evo parts which you can engineer to fit your setup just fine.

I apologize, I was in training all last week and I'm just now catching back up on everything.

Re:4g64 stratus!!!! - 2007/10/16 02:10 do you mean replacing my engine parts with Evo engine parts to fit an Evo turbo on my setup??? or do you mean something else?? Its kind of sounding like im better off either swapping out my motor for a v6......or buying a whole new car.

Evo head is a bolt on, and the Evo 8-9 manifolds place the turbo far enough away from your A/C without it becoming an intrusion. Surely would not want to replace your motor with a V6 unless you want to stay N/A and replace your ECM.

Re:4g64 stratus!!!! - 2007/10/21 11:45 I see what you mean now about swapping an Evo head........where can i get one??? junk yard or somewhere else??? and how easy is this swap?? Im gonna keep my exsiting engine and go turbo.......the threads that i have read about this motor tells me that this engine is better than the V6 anyway.......i need some help with converting my rear drums with disc....any suggestions??? I tried signing up with club3g and they have yet to let me post to the forums......keeps saying that i dont have permission.........i got the confirmation email from them and clicked the link to get access......but still nothing.......Also....If i was to buy the RPW header and go 3in straight pipe exhaust.....would i be gaining power or losing power?? i know that if i take away TOO many restrictions then im making my engine work harder and losing power.....so im wondering if ill be ok with that or should i get a high flow CAT or what?? whats my best option so that i gain and not lose?? thanks for the help man.
