not quite sure yet - 2006/07/30 19:06 ok so i know if i want to go turbo i should start off with that in mind and not waste my money on N/A, but i dont know if i can afford the kit and dont know if im looking for that much power. so my question is how much power can i get from a N/A setup without spending a huge amount of money?

Back in the day, I personally spent a lot of money on N/A products to make my car quicker. Whilst I did happen to succeed fairly well in all the bolt ons (Intake, header, exhaust, wires, plugs, S-AFC etc) I only gained 10whp and managed to take a full second off of my track time for the wider power band. I ended up selling all of those items then going turbo and then took of course is why I'm in the business I am in now for the dramatic change it made to my vehicle.

Unless you go with cams, you have to understand that the Mitsu drivetrain in your car is not really all tha restricted from it's stock potential.

Re:not quite sure yet - 2006/07/31 20:38 thats what i thought but what do the stock quater mile times look like? im going to the track this weekend but dont really know what to expect from my 01 strat with a sporty. i got it about 6 months ago and havent ever really thought about trying anything until i saw your car in sports compact and since i did have an old honda that i had the basic bolt-ons i was wondering if i could have as much fun with this car. i do want to go turbo but it seems so expensive compared to the parts from my honda. i heard you had some sort of lay-away program. and i read from you guys in another forum that the diamante intake plenum is the best but will it give me any help in the power? and how much gain am i looking at with the cams?
