It's probably best you look into an Evo Head swap and retain the use of the bigger displacement of the 2.4L bottom end. There is no replacement for displacement.

Thanks - 2006/11/18 12:11 I was thinking about doing what my friend did with his galant. That is he swap the engine out (4g64) 4cyl and put a evo8 motor in with a 95 eclipse tranny. I just want to do all that I can to my galant to be fast and reliable and then having it to be in a car show. I just want to work my way from the inside out.

Thanks 4 the ADVICE

You can still retain reliability with the 4G64 bottom end.

How about..... - 2006/11/20 11:44 I f I do the head swap how much power or hp can I see out of it? After I do a head swap, what else could I do in terms of performance wise? I would love to have a turbo in it also. Is it possible I could get it up to 300hp? Or near? Thanks for your help, I really do appreciate it.

You can make 300hp @ 15~17psi on your bone stock head and internals. Evo head swap is for looking into making some serious power with the 2.4L bottom end.
