its all looks. I jus wanted to get it looking nice before i did anything to the engine. Its gotta shine-street body kit, 4pc fender flare kit, shine-street spoiler, 20" msr wheels, and a system. Its my first car, so i dont really know much about performance.

danny you got an awsome ride. I have a 2001 gs spider and have been thinking about turboing it. I would like to have someone to consult and from the look of it your the perfect guy to ask. what kind of intercooler did you use, i didnt see it mentioned in the performance section.
9 Written by Danny Khan, on 05-11-2007 08:15
Hey Josh Thanks for the compliment bud....I can definately help you with your project I already did 4 3g conversions so yeah I know a lil bit about this stuff ... well u asked me about the intercooler in my case since I got BLITZ body kit so I went with a bigger size it looks good too .but I beleive if u have a stock frount bumper then iur intercooler should be 28 inch in length 5.5 inch in height and not more the 3.5 inch in depth ur piping size should be not more then 2.5 and this will perfectly fit behind ur front bumper with just a bit of mod ...

Sorry Random I didnt write down any of the stuff but its all in my head as i being through it so many times .

Alek thas the way I started 3 years ago with my ride first the exterior then the sound and finally the F/I ...beside i m digging those rims man very niceeee

one more question

I'm a little low on money and I'm too busy with school and track conditioning to get a job.

What does the most to the engine that doesn't cost too much??
11 Written by Danny Khan, on 08-11-2007 12:36
hmmm well I guess computer reflash would give u some good power or a piggy back unit like a SAFC or APEXI but they do take ur engine life if tune improperly

Hey Danny,

I have a dodge stratus coupe with the 4g64 engine.....i was really hating this car because of how heavy it is and how little power the motor has. I read up on your eclipse and i have alot of hope now. i like my car much much more now that i have seen someone build it up this way. what do you suggest i start with?? a friend of mine is a regular racer (figure 8 racing ) and he suggested that the first thing i do is clutch becasue when i start putting power on the motor that stock clutch is gonna burn out quick. Is this a good idea? should i build the clutch and suspension and such BEFORE i build power?? thanks for any help man.

I've been following your ride for a while as well as Xull's... I'm a fellow Ontarian (ottawa) with a boosted 4g64 in my 2003 rs. I really respect your ride and all the work and attention to detail. Have you run it at the track yet/ i'm curious to know what sort of times it gets? feel free to add me to MSN or email me.

Hey Makana
Thanks for loving my car well if ur friends is a professional Racer so I think he might be right but on other opinion we are just regular drivers all we are looking for is some more fun out of our cars in this case even though I think getting a clutch is a good advice but u wont be needing it right away i mean how can u tell wht kind of clutch u need untill u be pushing tht power.. mean wht if u r making 350HP and ur clutch only support till 300 then wht if I were u I will go with F/I first and then upgrade my Drivetrain accordingly ...

Alex Fok Thanks man I did heard about ur ride too but didnt know whr is the missing boosted Canadian 3G is well this year I upgraded my turbo ..and worked on my exsaust system Xull advice me to get my IC piping beaded before heads towards Dyno and Tracks sinceI just replace the turbo in Sept so I had to drive it a bit to break it in and now since its winter so I am already too late for dyno runs so I praked her for winter also I got this Brembo kit and BFGoodrich GS3 tires tht will be going in next year so I m planing to get everything done in one shot and then take it to tracks

Jose read the 5th post from the top I mention most of the parts tht u can get if u have any other question let me know ...and yeah thanks alot man for loving my car

kris I am a 4G64 guy and hence dont know tht much about 6G72 but i do know most of the setup is same and u can make alot more HP with lil mods from ur car compare to our 4 bangers check our eclipse forums http://www.eclipseforums.org/index.html
or www.club3g.com u will find alot of help thr ...

zach Thanks alot bud I am really flattered ....just pray I m trying to get my car in import tuner magzine

I'm thinking about turboing my GT V6 3.0 liter
Would it be safe to use stock internals just like you?
thanks and SWEET RIDE
 21 Written by DANNY, on 20-11-2007 08:02
Hey Andrew
well about boosting ur eclipse with stock internals ppl often get confused tht they are risking thr engine life ... well actually its all a myth because as long as your engine and F/I system runs in harmony u can drive ur car without any problem just keep an eye on ur gauges ...but if u r really worry abt ur car 8 to 10PSI would be good enough for u.I believe its 10HP /PSI with gr8 tune so u can really go far

Hey thanks for getting back to me man, Right now the only thing i have done to my ride is and intake and high flow muffler. I have been wondering about what to do next. I was thinking of doing my exhaust but i wont be going turbo for a while.......im not made outof money and im no mechanically inclined enough to build my own. I would try it if i had someone that could help me build one but i couldnt do it all on my own. What i was thinking for my exhaust was to get a highflow cat with a 2.25in inlet and a 3in outlet so that when i go turbo i can just hook right up to the cat and such. In doing this, i didnt want to mess myself up by having too big of an exhaust and then be losing power instead of gaining power. Is this a good idea or no??? sorry for all the dumb questions, im still learning, i have gone to club3g forum and other forums but whenever i post a question in an area where i think is the right place i get no answers and just get bagged on for posting in the wrong place.......i wish those bastards would just answer the question or tell me where to go to find the answer.....well anyway.......what do you think is the best place for me to start building my ride??? im just trying to get info and opinions from everywhere i can so i can make a sort of informed judgement :zzz

Makana
No problem bro ..We all learned like tht .... well to ans ur question well converting ur piping to 3 inch will decrease ur power and later on whn u will decide to go for a turbo u have to go with a manifold and downpipe which will replace ur Hearders and exsaust piping now u can get them converted from catback all the way to muffler into 3" but tht will effect ur power till u install a F/I system and a good one ....building up cars is a very expensive hobby trust me I dumped so much money in my car tht I cant even believe it whn i think about it ....but whn u gonna kill ur first ricer or some idiot with a mustang it all will be worth it : ).I can help u to build a F/I system
if u need any more help add me up to ur msn

Hey danny,

saw that you were on here so i had a question......whatever turbo it is that you put in your ride....is this upgradable??? like when i was looking at the srt-4 i saw that they have stage 1-3 turbos for this car.....is the turbo that fits on the 4g64 upgradeable??? how do you get more and more power out of these turbo's??? thanks man.
 34 Written by danny, on 21-11-2007 15:21
Well the one I got is a sleeper 16G usually the small 16 which goes around 250 to 275 16g can support up to 300hp then thr is a BIG 16G or also known as EVO3 16G tht can handle up 350 WHP and then this one whiich forced performance came out with is sleeper 16 which is basically a 16G but with a 20G turbo Turbine init .. it can produce 400whp and in some case even 450WHP ..u asked for more power well stock 4G64 motor got forged piston so our motor r basically build for turbo ... and can take quite a ponding but tht doesnt mean we can push 400 on stock internal ... to get more power out of ur car u will need a fully build engine and basically as far as my knowledge goes all the mitsubishi Turbos 16G,18G,20G and so on follows the same footprint means they r either direct bolt on or require little bit of adjustment ...

hey man I working on turboing my 2000 gs were did u tap in for the oil pressure line to go to the turbo if u could help me out it would be awsome how mnay pounds of boost are u running and have u ever run it in the quarter mile if so what were ur time

dude i'm looking forward to put turbo for my 3g but i need a kit any suggestion thanks
 43 Written by Danny, on 24-12-2007 11:39
well buddy tapping the oil pan is always a cheap way but u can just bolt up evo 8 pan its straight fit and comes with all the holes and lines so u will be good to go ... well rite now i just replace my turbo with a better one so last time i remember i was still breaking it in with close to 9 PSI and 3 " Y-pipe conversion i would say i was hitting close to 255WHP but thr is no lag . this summer we will be tunning the hell out of her and will be hitting close to 328 WHP target will be 15PSI
 44 Written by Danny, on 24-12-2007 11:45
Well Rodel
Bad news is thr are no good bolt on kits avaliable for our car in the market .Good news is u can build one ur self and once finished u wont be like those bolt up punk ass kid who u see driving Hondas with the B14 TC and looking for races with minivans. u will able to call ur self some wht of a tuner ... If u build one ur self tht is ...
My advice to u is research as much as possible ... go to forums and read the posting about the turbo setup guys running in thr 3G's if u have any question I will be more then happy to ans it for u ...

 49 Written by Danny, on 03-07-2008 14:25
Well Ronnie I answered tht before in same thread on wht to get and whr to get it ...if u still got any further question mail me back on my email i also mentioned tht up in the thread and i will try to help you out ...
Well Brandon u can drive it in the rain if u dont open up the vents they come sealed from inside but I removed the shielding for the maximum air flow and well as its just my summer car i usually stay away on driving it in rain
